Day 1Arrival & Explore Rameswaram

(Madurai to Rameswaram โ€“ Approx. 175 km / 3.5 to 4 hours drive)

Upon arrival at Madurai Airport or Railway Junction, you will be welcomed by our representative. Begin your journey to Rameswaram by private vehicle, enjoying a scenic drive through the beautiful southern landscape.

On arrival, proceed with local sightseeing:

  • Pamban Bridge – Admire the iconic Pamban Bridge, a remarkable feat of engineering that connects Rameswaram to mainland India. Enjoy the panoramic views of the sea and the unique bascule section that allows ships to pass. (Open – 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM)

  • Ramar Patham – Visit this sacred site believed to bear Lord Rama’s footprints. The site offers panoramic views of Rameswaram and is a significant spiritual spot. (Open – 7:00 AM to 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM)

  • Panchamukhi Hanuman Temple – Explore the temple dedicated to Lord Hanuman in his five-faced form. It is famous for displaying floating stones, believed to be used in the construction of the Ram Setu. (Open – 7:00 AM to 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM)

  • Night Halt in Rameswaram.

Day 2Exploring Rameswaram & Travel to Kanyakumari

(Rameswaram to Kanyakumari โ€“ Approx. 310 km / 6 to 7 hours drive)

  • Early wake-up for a visit to Ramanathaswamy Temple before breakfast. Visit the revered temple, one of the twelve Jyotirlinga temples dedicated to Lord Shiva. The temple is renowned for its long corridors, massive sculpted pillars, and sacred water tanks. (Open – 5:00 AM to 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM)

  • After breakfast, checkout your hotel and proceed to sightseeing.

  • APJ Abdul Kalam Memorial – Pay homage to Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, the former President of India, at his memorial which showcases his life, achievements, and contributions to science and technology. (Open – 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM)

  • Dhanushkodi – Explore the ghost town at the southern tip of Rameswaram island, known for its beautiful beaches, the remains of a cyclone-hit town, and its mythological significance in the Ramayana. (Open – 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM)

  • Travel to Kanyakumari and check into your hotel for the night.

Day 3Exploring Kanyakumari & Travel to Madurai

(Kanyakumari to Madurai โ€“ Approx. 245 km / 5 to 6 hours drive)

  • After breakfast, check out your hotel and proceed to sightseeing.

  • Kanyakumari Bhagavathi Amman Temple – This ancient temple is dedicated to Goddess Kumari Amman, an incarnation of Parvati. Itโ€™s a significant pilgrimage site and is known for its unique architectural style and spiritual atmosphere. (Open – 4:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM)

  • Vivekananda Rock Memorial – Built in 1970 in honor of Swami Vivekananda, this iconic structure is situated on a small island off the coast. Visitors can take a ferry to the memorial, which offers a serene environment and stunning views of the surrounding ocean. (Open – 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM)

  • Thiruvalluvar Statue – Adjacent to the Vivekananda Rock Memorial, this 133-foot-tall statue of the Tamil poet and philosopher Thiruvalluvar is a symbol of Tamil culture and literature. It stands on a pedestal representing the 38 chapters of virtue in the Thirukkural. (Open – 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM)

  • Travel to Madurai and check into your hotel for the night.

Day 4Exploring Madurai & Departure

  • After breakfast, check out your hotel and proceed to sightseeing.

  • Madurai Meenakshi Amman Temple – Visit the historic temple renowned for its stunning Dravidian architecture, intricate sculptures, and vibrant gopurams, dedicated to Goddess Meenakshi and Lord Sundareswarar. (Open – 5:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM)
